Hugh Halliday, Mission to Warsaw - Planes, Penicillin and Politics
Two plaques - in Ottawa and Warsaw - commemorate sacrifice and endeavour when Canada, through the Red Cross and the RCAF, emerged as an international humanitarian in 1945-1946. This is a story worth retelling.

Hugh Halliday is retired from the Canadian War Museum, and the author or compiler of several books on RCAF history and airmen. He is also an authority on awards and decorations.
